Gerard Way is an American singer, songwriter, musician, and comic book writer who was the lead vocalist and co-founder of the band My Chemical Romance as well as creating a debut solo album Hesitant Alien that was released on September 30, 2014. He also wrote the comic mini-series The True Lives of the Fabulous Killjoys and the Eisner Award-winning comic book The Umbrella Academy. Most recently is was announced that Way would be creating his own curated comic book imprint under the name YOUNG ANIMAL for DC Comics. He returns to the NC Comicon in 2016 to discuss his involvement with all the books scheduled under the imprint including DOOM PATROL, SHADE THE CHANGING GIRL, MOTHER PANIC and CAVE CARSON HAS A CYBERNETIC EYE.
Gerard Way will be returning to the NC Comicon for all three days: Friday Nov 11th, Saturday Nov 12th, and Sunday Nov 13th, 2016.

Friday November 11th
6pm: Gerard arrives at the Carolina Theater’s Fletcher Hall for a one-of-a-kind discuss-all panel. The only way to see this panel is to have a 3-Day pass, VIP pass, or Friday ticket. The maximum seating capacity is 1,000 people, so please arrive early for a good seat.
Saturday November 12th: Gerard returns to the Carolina Theater’s Fletcher Hall for exclusive panels regarding his work on the new imprint for DC Comics, YOUNG ANIMAL. Anyone with a 3-Day, Saturday, or VIP pass will be admitted. Again, the maximum seating capacity is 1,000 people so please arrive early for a good seat. Tentative schedule is:

11:15am Shade the Changing Girl w/ Gerard and series artist Marley Zarcone.
1:15pm Mother Panic w/ Gerard and co-creators Tommy Lee Edwards and Jody Houser.
3:15 VIP Only Meet & Greet w/ Gerard.
Sunday November 15th Gerard returns to the Carolina Theater’s Fletcher Hall as he discusses the remaining two books from DC’s YOUNG ANIMAL launch.
2:30pm: Cave Carson Has A Cybernetic Eye w/ Gerard and co-writer Jon Rivera.
3:30pm: Doom Patrol w/ Gerard and series artist Nick Derington.

No. Your ticket price includes the panels for that day, and Gerard will be doing panels all weekend. See schedule for details (limited to 1,000 seats, first come, first serve)
