Locally created, owned & operated, the NC Comicon was founded in 2010 by comic book retailer & entrepreneur Alan Gill and comic book & film creator Tommy Lee Edwards. Over the years the NCC’s celebration of comics and pop-culture has become one of the most prestigious convention events of its type in the country, drawing fans and aspiring creators from around the world.

NC Comicon has worked with both local & worldwide charities, such as Magic Wheelchair, Duke Children’s hospital, and Operation Sidekick, to help raise funds and awareness for these monumentally important establishments. NCC regularly features all-star professional guests such as Kevin Eastman (Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles), Amanda Conner (Harley Quinn), Gerard Way (My Chemical Romance, Doom Patrol), John Barrowman (Dr. Who, Arrow), Klaus Janson (The Dark Knight Returns), and Charlie Adlard (The Walking Dead). NCC also hosts industry-leading comic book publishers each year, including DC Comics, Dark Horse Comics, Oni, Valiant, and IDW, who help provide informative panels, events, and workshops for fans.

With its creator-focused vision and intimate, all-encompassing atmosphere, NC Comicon is a prime destination for fans and creators of all walks and passions to learn, celebrate, and share in a wide variety of interests and fandoms, from comics to cosplay, gaming, film, animation, design, and so much more.
